So I went for a little walk in the

Advertising Campaign

I created this advertising campaign for my corporate and advertising module in university to help change the demographic and appearance of charity shop fashion, and our opinions of it.  I used the Oxfam brand as it is well known.

Lisa Congdon

Lisa Congdon site is pretty colourful and reminds me of summer and happy times.  Her style is so playful.  She has produced work for an impressive client list.   You might know her from her A Collection A Day project, where she took a photo of a collection of related objects each day for a year.  The project stated on a blog, but is now a book that comes out this month.

Philippe Constantinesco

I thought this detailed study of the owl by Philippe Constantinesco was so beautiful I just had to share.

Wandering Eyes

This is a video of the artist Jopaucho hand painting a salvaged piece of furniture in a darkened room. The end result and the process are pretty damn fun to watch.

The Girl Effect

Today I was shown this simple yet effective typographic advertisement in my design class.  The company that produced as part of a campaign to help young adolescent girls living in poverty is called The Girl Effect.

Unknown Prints

I love this print by James Smith from Unknown Prints - a UK site that connects people looking for affordable artwork with artists and designers. I love this quotation by self-help advocate Wayne Dyer. As sappy as it sounds, I’m sort of a believer in this philosophy. But I love its graphic treatment even more — I’m a sucker for anything purple!

Museum

I thought this photographic series by Museum Studio, titles Breakfast Club, was highly amusing!  It makes me which it was breakfast time instead of dinner time!

You've gotta love the transitions in this film!  The music is kind of quirky as well!

These amazing photographs by Martina Stranka  are a beautiful scenes almost as if from a memory - the magical moments in-between dreams and the consciousness.

Its what you see... cat or mouse?

As part of my Design Corporate and Advertising module in uni we were given a project to design a poster based around a quote of our choice from a favoured designer.

The quote that I chose was "Its not what you look at that matters, its what you see."  My concept behind this poster was based on optical illusions.  In the design there are two images combined into one, it just depends how you look at it.  Is it a cat or a mouse?

Designers.mx

Music.Design.Inspiration.

Desingers.mx is a fantastic site that I found a few days ago.  It combines a love for both music and graphic design.  A number of designers have been invited to create a playlist and make their own album art.  What is there not to love about this?!

Nowhere Near Here

'Nowhere Near Here' is a stop motion animation that uses a combination of light with stencils and long exposure photography to tell the story of a dog running around the city at night, doing whatever a dog does. The animation was first exhibited at the The Herbert, in Coventry, on the 7th October 2010.
